Protecting our Paddock Trees Field Day: Local science, local solutions – Byawatha VIC
Trees on farms have a critical role supporting wildlife and providing shade and shelter for livestock. Join us for a morning of conversation about how to manage these important natural assets on farms.
Ecologists from Sustainable Farms, along with local landholders and NECMA staff, will discuss:
- The role of native vegetation in agricultural landscapes and the production benefits
- Paddock tree decline in the North East – a 20-year case study
- The most important steps in protecting and enhancing paddock trees and remnant woodland vegetation
- Experience and practical advice from locals
This is a free event but registration is essential.
Please wear suitable footwear for a paddock walk and bring warm clothing. Refreshments provided.
